Gonzalo de Cordoba is a legendary engineering commander in Rise of Kingdoms with a Versatility, Attack, and Engineering talent tree. Gonzalo de Cordoba is a decent hero who will provide a good amount of AOE damage, but there are commanders that are much better to get and use. The problem with Gonzalo de Cordoba is that he needs to use siege units, range attacks, and a specific way of fighting.
Should you invest in Gonzalo de Cordoba?
No, you should not invest in Gonzalo de Cordoba no matter if you are a pay-to-win or a free-to-play player. There are a lot of reasons why it is not smart to invest in and spend your legendary commander’s sculptures on him. First, you need siege units and range attacks, which are not that great and are hard to play with. You will not be able to swarm objectives.
You have to get engineering gear which is big now when you already need a lot for infantry, cavalry, and archers. Also, a lot of kingdoms do not allow training siege units so they can get easier KVK and lower overall kingdom power to get more players. Maybe in the future developers will improve range and siege but for now, do not invest in Gonzalo de Cordoba. Invest in cavalry or infantry units or simply wait for new strong commanders to get released in Rise of Kingdoms.

Gonzalo de Cordoba Pairings
Gajah Mada is currently the best commander that you can pair with Gonzalo de Cordoba. They have both smite and range damage so they will work great together. Unfortunately, there is no other good commander that you can pair with Gonzalo de Cordoba. The only other commander that you can pair with Gonzalo de Cordoba is Margaret but still it is not that good. Other commanders are not worth pairing with Cordoba.
